Planned learning outcomes
- Explain core AI ethics principles, including human dignity, autonomy, fairness, non-discrimination, transparency and accountability
- Describe the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI and apply its ethical impact assessment approach
- Evaluate the privacy implications of an AI use, including data minimisation, consent, security and secondary use
- Identify sources of bias and plan proportionate fairness testing
- Recommend transparency measures and meaningful human oversight
- Identify human rights impacts, including on vulnerable groups and accessibility, and design complaint pathways
- Complete an ethical impact assessment and recommend proportionate organisational safeguards
